Scholarship Opportunity - Seniors - Today is the last day to apply for the OFG Financial Services $500 scholarship in the name of the Kansas Superintendent of the Year Finalist Dr. Steve Noble. See the counselors' webpage for further information.


Interact Club Car Show - The Drive-Out Hunger Car Show will be held in the south parking lot of the high school on Saturday April 27th from 1:00-3:00pm. Please see Mr. Collins or Mrs. Miller for a registration form. Or you can sign-up online at https://usd345.revtrak.net/Drive-Out-Hunger/ The cost is $15 if you pre-register or $20 the day of the car show. Proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels of Shawnee and Jefferson County.


Writing Center Staff Applications - Any student interested in joining the Writing Center Consultant Staff next year must fill out an application on our website. All application materials including teacher evaluations must be returned to Ms. Sands in W-6 by 3:05 pm May 1st. One Act Plays - Come see An Absolutely True Story and The Case of Alex Hansen April 18th, 19th, and 20th at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door each night-$5. The following is a brief synopsis of both plays. An Absolutely True Story (As Told By A Bunch of Lying Liars) Someone is in enormous trouble for breaking the priceless heirloom vase in the Peterson living room. But who? Who is the liar? Well, most likely everyone is telling lies (even the family dog). The truth is even more slippery and may involve more Nutella than you could imagine! Directed by Senior Abby Wendlandt. The Case of Alex Hansen tells a harrowing story of a boy who is on trial for his life with the odds completely stacked against him. With time running out, will Alex be able to survive the peril that stands before him? Directed by Senior Mason Clark.

Girls Track - Congratulations to these top finishers from the Washburn Rural meet. Morgyn Chapin - 1st high hurdles, triple jump and 3rd 300 high hurdles; Olivia Beam - 1st discus and 3rd shot; Riley Fisher - 2nd 800; Kya Tenbrink - 2nd discus; Peyton Sannan - 2nd 400; Hannah Gillespie - 3rd 800; Maddox Gomez - 3rd long jump; and Avary Polter - 3rd 400. The 4x8 relay of Riley Fisher, Hannah Gillespie, Brenna Langdon and Alex Phillis 1st; 4x4 team of Peyton Sannan, Riley Fisher, Hannah Page and Morgyn Chapin 2nd; and the 4x1 relay of Tam Vu, Maddox Gomez, Hannah Page and Killian Cox 3rd. Nice job ladies!!!
