Signing - Audrey Horton will sign a national-letter-of-intent to play volleyball for Kansas State University on Friday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the new commons area.

Bowling - Anyone interested in trying out for the Seaman Bowling team should sign up in the Athletic Director's (Mr. Dietz) office before Nov. 28th. You will also need to have a current physical and assumption of risk on file, BEFORE tryouts. This is a new rule and you will not be allowed to try out without it on file. Tryouts will be the week of Dec. 1st through the 5th, from 3:30 to 5:30. There will be an activity bus that you may take to the bowling alley if you need a ride, but you will need to make arrangements to be picked up from the bowling alley at 5:30.

Swimming - Swimmers who signed up for transportation to practice--there will be a SHS van in the East Lot to take you to practice each day. It will depart promptly at 3:20.

Scholarship Opportunity - We have the Dr. Martin Luther King scholarships in the counseling offices. There will be one scholarship given for Poetry, Art and Essay competition. Seaman students have had very good luck in the past being awarded these scholarships. See your counselor for more information.

Leadership Forum - Interested in Medicine? See Mr. Godfrey about a unique summer program by the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. We have sent eight former students to this summer program and they have had great experiences. This is a ten day program where students get first hand opportunities to see what it takes to get into the medical field.

Cadet Teaching - Attention Seniors interested in becoming a teacher: The district is offering our Cadet Teaching program again second semester. If you are interested in Cadet Teaching at one of the elementary schools to see what teaching would be like, see Mr. Godfrey for more information. You must apply and be accepted. Forms are available for application with Mr. Godfrey.

Spanish Club - Spanish Club t-shirt money is due Friday, pay Sra. Martinez in W-20.

Book Club - VIKING BOOK CLUB MEMBERS: Sign up now in the library to take a field trip! The bus will leave at 3:20 on Tuesday, December 2nd, making a couple stops before we get off at the public library to tour the new teen room. Be sure to sign up before you leave for Thanksgiving break next week! The bus will be back at SHS by 6:15 p.m.
