- The 7th grade volleyball teams both beat Emporia in 2 games, but came up short against SHMS this time. They will be in action again tonight at WRMS, playing both WRMS & JC. Good luck lady vikings!
- It was one great night of volleyball for the 8th grade team. The varsity team was challenged with their first match but they did not let that stop them. The varsity team took Silver Lake to 3 sets and brought home the win. This game had you on the edge of your seat the entire time as they fought hard for that win. They then played against Shawnee Heights and came together to win that match in two games. The JV team was ready to play as well. They played Silver Lake first and won both sets followed by Shawnee Heights and won both of those as well. Cheer your girls on for their games today, as they travel to Junction City to play Junction CIty and Washburn Rural. Nice job ladies on a successful evening and good luck in your games today.
-If you always wanted to make a difference, then FCCLA wants you! It stands for "Family, Career and Community Leaders of America." It focuses on personal growth, teamwork skills, and connecting with our community through service projects. If you are interested in learning more, you can talk to members from last year or attend our first meeting in October. Membership fees are $30 for the year and you can get an application at either Mrs Hess’s room 205 or Mrs. Brooks’ room 201.
